Our Approach

At Cantarus we consider the environment in everything we do and are continuously striving to decrease our impact on the environment we all share.

Travel

The work of our employees can involve dealing with clients and suppliers throughout the UK and to this end we actively encourage the use of audio/video conferencing and public transport over car journeys wherever tenable

We also utilise our TeamEnable services - a suite of services targetted at enabling a distributed team to achieve high productivity - in-house to achieve greater efficiciences.  Our cutting-edge distrubuted working model, based on the use of PDAs and laptops combined with high-speed Internet connectivity over the mobile network to access services hosted in our datacentres, helps to cut down on the costs and impacts associated with travel.

Suppliers

Where possible we prefer to work with suppliers who can demonstrate a strong commitment to preserving the UK and global environment.

Future Developments

We have some exciting plans for improved environmental performance under development at Cantarus including offering IT hardware recycling to our clients (including data sanitisation as a first step where appropriate) and obtaining the relevant accreditations. Watch this space for updates!
