Introducing the Athena Work Management/Data Capture Solution
Athena is Cantarus' hosted mobile work management/data capture solution and consists of two parts, an Office Worker application and a Field Worker application used by office workers and mobile workers respectively. Athena utilises the latest web technology and Windows Mobile 5.0 and 6.0 for PDAs. Athena can be integrated with other systems by adding “adaptors”.
Office Worker Application
The Office Worker application is accessed via a normal web browser such as Internet Explorer meaning no installations are required on client computers and the Office Worker can be located anywhere with an Internet connection. This offers maximum flexibility and fast roll-out.
Using this application the Office Worker can view captured data, create and despatch jobs, receive updates from the field and view reports on the status of jobs.
Field Worker Application
The Field Worker application runs on virtually any Windows Mobile device and is used to receive jobs and report on their progress whilst away from the office. The application can also provide data capture facilities and signature capture for those mobile devices which support it.
