We’re looking for an experienced Delivery Manager to manage the largest project delivery team within Cantarus. Working with our Head of Technical Delivery, you will be responsible for the overall delivery of several concurrent digital projects, utilising our Agile-based project delivery methodologies.

Requiring strong communications skills, you will be liaising with project stakeholders both within Cantarus, as well as being the primary point of contact for several of our in-flight web and mobile app digital projects. You will work with our wider development and consultancy teams to ensure projects are delivered effectively and efficiently.

As Technical Delivery Manager, you will provide project management and leadership of our new client projects and own medium to large scale projects as part of our multi-disciplinary team. This role works closely alongside other team members including our Consultants, Designers/UX, Developers and Business Development / Strategic teams, as well as working directly with a range of high-profile clients.

Responsibilities
 

  • Lead project Discovery phases to capture project requirements, execute Discovery workshops and create detailed Discovery output documents to summarise recommendations,
  • Oversee all aspects of the delivery of in-flight projects from Discovery through to Go-Live, including the management of both our internal consultants and developers as well as leading regular client meetings (both in Manchester and on client sites),
  • Provide expertise and good decision making across multiple work streams to ensure the successful and effective Agile project delivery to time, budget and scope,
  • Work with our Head of Technical Delivery to ensure effective processes are being correctly followed and commercial status for specific projects is understood and monitored,
  • Recognise and handle project risks, monitor progress and produce status reports both internally and externally as required,
  • Use our Jira-based project management software to manage the status of the various digital projects and act as the primary project contact for our larger projects (small and medium projects will have a Consultant as primary point of contact who will report in to you),
  • Act as the Scrum master for our largest client projects,
  • Line-manage the team effectively, ensuring that timesheets are being submitted accurately and on time. 

 

Preferred Experience/Skills
 

  • Digital Agency experience, in a client-facing role, is critical,
  • Experience in running digital projects (at least of small to medium size) with knowledge of requirements elicitation, running workshops, client management, change requests processes,
  • Experience leading and mentoring a team would be highly beneficial,
  • Excellent technical understanding of software (previous development experience is beneficial but not required), with knowledge of software delivery methodologies,
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, continually evolving working environment,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an aptitude for explaining technical concepts to non-technical clients,
  • Self-motivated and delivery focussed,
  • Knowledge of Agile project management and associated tools (e.g. Jira or Trello).


What to Expect
 

  • Type: Full-time, permanent
  • Working Hours: 37.5 hours Monday-Friday with core hours between 9.30am - 4.30pm
  • Salary: Competitive & negotiable based on experience
  • Location: Manchester City Centre office, with flexible working options available
  • Holiday: 25 days per annum, plus public holidays
