2022 Year in Review

December 2022 3 min read

We can’t quite believe that 2022 is coming to an end, and it’s been yet another incredible year here at Cantarus HQ. From welcoming a myriad of new team members (our team passed 60 for the first time!) to launching our first podcast, we’ve had a lot of fun this year. So, as we wrap up for the holidays, here’s a little insight into how our 2022 panned out…

Welcoming new faces 🫶

Our fantastic team continues to grow! As our 20th birthday approaches next year (we know! 😮), it’s hard to believe that we began as a 2-person IT business!

It always feels nice to welcome a new face to the Cantarus team, and in 2022, we welcomed 19 joiners and 2 placement students, taking us to a full-time team of 60+ across both our Manchester HQ and London.

Our team truly is the heart of all we do, and we wouldn’t have gotten as far as we have without them. We’re looking forward to even more growth in 2023!

An ever-growing client list…

We’re so lucky to work with such amazing clients, and we’ve welcomed a bunch of lovely new ones this year, including:

  • Hartpury,
  • Royal College of Physicians,
  • CILIP,
  • Plus many more!

Stunning Office Improvements 🤩

We wanted to make our head office a more collaborative space this year, especially as we’re going into 2023 with some exciting new changes on the cards.

We’ve made a ton of new improvements (shoutout to our Marketing Manager, Sam, for his DIY and painting skills, and our Head of Experience Design, Rob, for being the brains behind the operation!), including new art, new spaces, and a better layout of meeting rooms.

Lots of event fun – including our first EVER Membership Client Day! 🙌

The Avanti West Coast staff are probably a bit sick of us, as we’ve been up and down the country a lot this year. We attended the MemberWise annual conferences, Digital Excellence and Membership Excellence, took part in a number of exciting webinars with MemberWise, Hart Square and Socitm, and even hosted our very own first-ever Membership Client Day in London!

It was a huge success, and it was so good to catch up with clients, have a fantastic guest speaker, Lee Warren, and talk about our ideas for next year and beyond. We’re already making plans for the next one!

You’re a winner baby! 🥇

We were super excited to win some big awards in 2022. We won ‘B2C Website of the Year’ in the UK Digital Growth Awards and ‘Best Website’ in the Northern Digital Awards, along with our wonderful clients at Youth Sport Trust.

We also ranked #32 in the annual Prolific North’s Top 50 Digital Agencies, and 19th in the country as well as 3rd in Manchester on the Drum’s Recommended Agencies.

BIG Project Launches 👨💻

We may be a little biased, but we delivered some awesome projects in 2022! From the World Commerce & Contracting online community launch to the brand new CIBSE website, an online community and brand for Social Media Pulse, and the NHS Charities Together community – it’s safe to say it’s been a fun year!
