Cantarus are delighted to announce that as part of their ongoing commitment to keeping their clients and data safe, they are officially Cyber Essentials Plus certified.
The Cyber Essentials scheme is designed to provide organisations with a baseline of cybersecurity and prevent any cyber-attacks or threats. The scheme requires organisations to implement five security controls:
- Secure configuration
- Boundary firewalls and internet gateways
- Access control and administrative privilege management
- Patch management
- Malware protection
The Cyber Essentials Plus certification also requires an additional internal scan and an on-site assessment.
After a rigorous review of Cantarus’ security processes and workplaces, the 3rd party assessor determined that the security in place at Cantarus is compliant and protects against common risks and vulnerabilities.
Chris Gray, Infrastructure Services Manager at Cantarus, comments:
“Attaining the Cyber Essentials Plus certification further reinforces Cantarus’ commitment to cybersecurity and the importance we place on protecting critical data and systems. We felt that it was important to ensure that our security approach was not only compliant with the Cyber Essentials standards, but that this had been validated and certified by independent organisations to ensure best practice. Cantarus will continue to assess and implement best practice throughout our business, working to ensure the security of both our own and our clients’ data.”
Cantarus looks forward to attracting new business in the future with the promise of having strong cybersecurity measures in place.
