Cantarus has recently completed a content migration and web design refresh for the Chemical Industries Association (CIA), one of the largest and most influential voices in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry.
The CIA’s exisiting web estate consisted of six websites that had been built using disparate content management systems (CMS). Cantarus was briefed to migrate all existing content to a single CMS, DNN, in order to provide a quicker and simpler way for the CIA to maintain their web estate.
In addition to a clean, new design for each website, the project accomplished the following goals:
- Made the site’s content more accessible and allow users to reach this content in as few clicks as possible.
- Site content has been personalised to provide each user with relevant news, event listings and professional qualification guidance.
- Facilitated a unified look and feel across all of the CIA websites.
- Achieved seamless integration between the website and the Silverbear back-end membership solution.
In addition, each website was designed with mobile browsing in mind and have been built on a completely responsive framework, providing a consistent experience on any device. The CIA web estate also receives tangible search ranking benefits due to the introduction of Google’s mobile-first indexing algorithm, making its content more visible and accessible than ever before.
Cantarus Managing Director, Lee Adams said “It was a pleasure to work with the CIA on this project and I am proud that our team was able to deliver this large-scale project for such a reputable organisation as the CIA.”
