Cantarus has retained the People, Culture and Wellbeing Quality Mark following the successful completion of its first annual review by the Association for Accredited Learning (AAL).
The Quality Mark is awarded to organisations committed to supporting employee wellbeing and building a positive workplace culture. It assesses organisations against four core principles: the wellbeing of people and teams; collaboration and engagement; health and wellbeing strategy; and the provision of wellbeing resources and support.
Cantarus first achieved the accreditation in September 2025. Its latest review examined the progress made over the subsequent 12 months and confirmed that the business continues to meet the Quality Mark’s standards, with the assessment formally approved by the AAL Approvals Board.
The review recognised Cantarus’ continued commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive, and values-led culture in which people can thrive. It highlighted strengths in recruitment, equality, diversity and inclusion governance, leadership development, employee consultation, and wellbeing provision.
It also acknowledged the way Cantarus has maintained its focus on employee experience and organisational culture during a period of continued business growth and acquisition activity.
Developments over the past year include the introduction of a formal Recruitment Policy designed to embed equality of opportunity throughout the recruitment process, enhanced conversations around individual support needs during onboarding and the addition of mental health support within the company’s private healthcare provision.
The business has also strengthened its approach to employee consultation, ensuring feedback gathered through surveys, team meetings, consultation periods and one-to-one conversations can be used to inform decisions and future actions.
Mike Cundall, Chief Operating Officer at Cantarus, said:
“Retaining the People, Culture and Wellbeing Quality Mark is an important recognition of the progress we have continued to make over the past year.
“As Cantarus grows and evolves, it is essential that we maintain our focus on the experience, development and wellbeing of our people. The annual review gives us valuable independent insight into the progress we’re making, while also helping us identify where we can continue to improve.
“We’re proud of what has been achieved, but we also recognise that building a genuinely inclusive, supportive and positive workplace requires an ongoing commitment from everyone across the business.”
The review concluded that Cantarus has made clear and sustained progress against the Quality Mark standards, with wellbeing, inclusion, learning, and positive organisational practice becoming increasingly embedded across the business.
The successful annual review means Cantarus enters its second year as a People, Culture and Wellbeing Quality Mark accredited organisation, continuing the commitment to improvement that began with its original accreditation in 2025.
