The Challenge
WTTC required a website that would better represent its rich content, global events and advocacy efforts.
Their existing site, built on DNN, was no longer fit for purpose. Due to challenges with the legacy CMS platform, internal teams faced restrictive content templates and inefficient workflows that hindered publishing agility. Additionally, suboptimal search functionality made content discovery difficult and frustrating for users.
As a trusted Kentico Gold Partner, Cantarus was appointed to deliver a new website that would not only meet WTTC’s functional requirements but also reflect its global influence and provide an improved experience for both members and public audiences.
Key challenges included:
- Outdated and irrelevant content
- Imagery that wasn’t representative of the diversity of the sector
- Inconsistent branding across the digital estate
- A fragmented user journey that made it harder for audiences to find and engage with key content
- Legacy CMS platform restricted ability of content editors to showcase the organisation effectively
- Challenges with performance and SEO best practices on the legacy platform
The Partnership
Cantarus already had an established relationship with WTTC, having originally partnered with them to support their previous website, originally developed by their previous provider. However, this project marked the beginning of a new strategic collaboration.
The project kicked off with a detailed discovery phase to fully capture business objectives, user needs and platform requirements. Key outputs were carried forward into the design and implementation approach, ensuring a tightly governed process with minimal scope creep.
