Project Consultant

Help to support the Project Delivery function of a top ten Manchester digital agency today.

Overview

Your role will be to bridge the gap between the client and technical teams. Using strong communications skills, you'll be liaising with project stakeholders to gather and translate project requirements for our development team, act as first point of contact for client projects and oversee the delivery of website projects from start to finish.

You will organise and execute project sprints using our project management software. Our ideal candidate will be able to adapt to an ever-evolving working environment and be ready to take ownership of the role – shaping it to match your skillset and pushing yourself to learn more every day.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering small to medium size projects using an Agile based delivery methodology.
  • Identify, manage, and escalate risks to project budgets and timelines.
  • Lead project discovery sessions to gather requirements, define project objectives, and identify key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings and workshops to elicit and document business needs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables based on discovery findings and stakeholder input.
  • Use our JIRA based project management software to translate and input project requirements for our development teams to execute on.
  • Act as the Scrum Master for client and internal projects.
  • Evangelise company expertise and upsell products and services where possible.

Preferred Experience

  • 1-2 years in a Business Analyst, Consultant, or IT Project Management role.
  • Understanding of software development processes. Previous development experience is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and management skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Excellent command of both written and verbal English.
  • Proficiency in JIRA, Trello, Azure DevOps, Excel.
  • Some experience using Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Umbraco, Kentico, Wordpress, Joomla, Wix is desirable.
  • Agile (Scrum/SAFe) certification) or Project Management Qualifications are desirable.

37.5 hours

Monday – Friday (Core hours 10:00am – 4:00pm)

Holiday:
25 days per annum, plus public holidays and your birthday (or closest working day) off. We also offer the opportunity to purchase up to 5 additional holidays per year.
